A typical safari sundowner experience in a Central Indian national park is a magical and immersive adventure that combines the thrill of wildlife viewing with the beauty of the setting sun. You will be accompanied by experienced and knowledgeable naturalist from our partnered lodges. Your sundowner experience usually begins in the late afternoon when you embark on a game drive into the national park. Central India’s national parks although known for their diverse range of wildlife, their natural beauty and epic locations are often undermined. While you are immersed in the sounds and sights of the jungle, your safari vehicle will stop at a carefully chosen location, often with a picturesque view of the landscape as the sun sets. You will be treated to a selection of refreshments, which may include snacks, finger foods, and beverages. As you savor your snacks and drinks, you’ll witness the enchanting sight of the sun dipping below the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange, pink, and purple. The tranquility of the natural surroundings and the setting sun create a serene and unforgettable atmosphere.
Wildlife Sounds: The evening hours in the jungle come alive with the sounds of nocturnal creatures. You might hear the distant call of a jackal, the hooting of owls, or the rustling of leaves as animals prepare for the night.
Return Journey: After the sun has set and darkness begins to fall, your safari vehicle will take you back to the lodge. This is also an opportunity for some nocturnal wildlife sightings, such as owls, civets, sloth bears and even leopards if you’re lucky on your way back.
